1.  Who can apply for a UAE Visa?

All citizens of the globe irrespective of their current residence status and the foreign nationals presently residing in second country can apply for UAE visa. Families & students can also apply for the visa. Please note that UAE or Dubai visa is the same thing and valid for whole UAE.


2.  What are the advantages of applying for Electronic UAE Visa?

No need to locate a sponsor in UAE; your travel agent will act as your sponsor

Swift processing- subject to qualifying the eligibility criteria and meeting the documents requirement, your visa can be processed within 3-4 working days

A ‘’Paper Visa’’ is provided prior to departure to facilitate hassle free entry into Dubai through normal immigration counters. No need to queue up at the Visa Delivery Counter to collect a paper visa at Dubai.

No hotel booking is required, you may stay at a place of your choice

3.  Where are the UAE Visa Service Centres located?

You can submit your application for UAE visa directly to our Dubai office or contact our authorized agent, affiliates or one of our GSA (General Sales Agent) nearby your location


4.  Do you need original passport or other documents?

Yes, only for verification of the photocopies of the documents and for scanning of colour copy of passport.

The passport will be immediately returned on submission of application.


5.  What is the visa fee being charged?

For each applicant (including infants & children, holding separate passports), please refer visa fee tab in visa section of our website

You may also note that visa fee is non refundable irrespective of the decision on the visa application.


6.  Is this visa a single entry or valid for multiple entries?

Visa is valid only for a single entry; within the validity period of 58 days from the date of issue of the visa.


7.  How do you determine the number of days of visa tenure?

Depending upon the type of visa, visa validity is for the numbers of days as indicated on the visa and includes the day of entry and day of departure into visa period.


8.  How many days in advance should one apply for the visa prior to the planned travel date?

Normal processing time for the visa is 3-4 working days; you may have to account for the weekly holidays (Friday & Saturday) of Dubai Visa Authority and Sunday being holiday for the local Visa Processing Centre.

We encourage you to apply early in order to allow adequate time for any unforeseen events and timely visa processing at Dubai.


9.  What are the specific requirements for the transit visa?

Subject to meeting the eligibility criteria and specified document requirements, all flight sectors into and out of Dubai should be confirmed

Visa will be valid only for 96 hours (4 days) and will include the day of entry and day of departure

You may also avail transit visa on your return flight back to Pakistan


10.  Can the entry and exit be from any Airport of UAE?

The visa is valid for entry and exit for all airports within UAE


11.  Can this visa be used on any Airline?

Yes, this visa can be used on any airline


12.  Is this visa valid for whole UAE or only restricted to Dubai?

Visa is valid for whole of UAE and you can visit any place within UAE


13.    Who are eligible for ‘’visa on arrival’’ at Dubai?

Nationals of following countries are eligible for Dubai visa on arrival at the Dubai Airport

Australia, Andorra, Austria, Brunei, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, San Marino, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States of America and the Vatican.

Holders of British passports issued in Hong Kong and China are also eligible for visa on arrival at the Dubai Airport.


14.  Can this visa be extended in UAE? If yes how?

Yes, visa can be extended by approaching Dubai Immigration office for another 30 days and on payment of additional visa fee.


15.  If visa is refused, can I apply again?

It does not stop any one from applying again; after ensuring carefully that he/she qualifies for the eligibility criteria may apply again.

The visa request can be initiated after 21 days from the date of visa decline. However, full visa fee will need to be paid again.


16.  What are the repercussions of staying beyond the validity of visa period?

You may not be issued visa to Dubai in future

It may also result into a heavy penalty of overstay besides legal action in Dubai.


17.  Is OTB (Ok to board) required?

From some countries OTB is compulsory to be stamped at your visa by the relevant airline

Your travel agent may assist you in this regard


18.  What is the role of Sonya Travels?

We have no role in approval or decline of the visa by the Dubai Naturalization & Residency Department and Immigration Authority.

Based on our own assessment, we may refuse to accept any application for visa without any recourse and our sole discretion. In certain situations, we may ask for some financial guarantees to process the visa application
